Bad day camping pic needed
«

We have a team meeting at work tomorrow and I need to create one of those motivational posters. As you can see in my signature, my motto is "A bad day camping is better than a good day at work." I'm looking for a picture I can use to create my poster. If you have one that you are willing to share, that would be great. Thanks in advance for your help.

I just posted this on another thread. Imagine this state park was your destination and you towed your big honkin' TT there only to find this:

And that's why we have 4WD and good ground clearance!
The way the sign is worded it doesn't sound like a prohibition so much as a warning. I booked a 32' site at Arrowhead Prov. Park last week, for our 38' camper. There too it's only guidance (I asked a guy in the know), and if you can get onto the site you're golden. Fingers crossed.

We have 4WD and an off road pop up. "Someone" wouldn't go up the hill even then. I never even got to SEE the hill! The road was really narrow too and heavily wooded with nowhere to turn off, so it could have been a problem. We weren't staying there so opted not to take the chance of getting caught in a bad spot.
I don't think you'd have gotten into that park. The sites we did see didn't have much space, and the narrow road was seriously overhung with trees every inch of the way.

Sorry, but that's not better than a good day of work!
I bet if you Googled campground storms or something like that, you'd find a lot of pics.

I read the topic of this post and thought to myself..... "What is this concept of a 'bad day camping' ?"
From the last two photos, there are certainly bad days... and I remember a few times when we left early... but I'm still strugging with the concept of a bad day camping.

Hum, 400 sites, 115 electrical, it must be a real tough place to navigate. Gotta kick it in 4WD lo and tuck in the mirrors.

I was told the roads can be twisty and hence difficult to navigate, but where we are, I think it's road 6, (they call it that but don't label the maps) the roads look straight. One right-hander of the main road and we head down a straight campground road. There's a loop (think turning circle or the eye of a needle) at the end of the road.
I think we'll end up parking on the main road and walking in for a look before we execute.

Looking at those 2 pics. I think I'd rather have the good day at work.

Not a picture, but a sad video of a guy's camper being loaded up after it cooked off at the Gettysburg Bluegrass Festival a few years back.
Turn your speakers down if the kids are sleeping... music in the background...

Now, that's a bad day camping! One of the kids probably flung one of those flaming marshmallows on it and sent the whole thing up in flames!
Flester1, how did you make that picture of your rig at the bottom of your post? That's pretty cool!

Picasa by google has all kinds of tools to convert your photos like that by using the infared, invert colours and pencil sketch tooks etc. Its easy and does not overwrite your original file

I did it on photobucket... I would need to look and see what the "name" of that edit is called.
It is under the advanced editing tab, I do know that... I will check back and let you know.
