we have an 02, or should I say built in 02. So maybe its an 03??? And we love it. The slid out is one of the largest in the insdustry and requires support legs, which until you get use to it you may find the grade of the site to give you a problem. we will sometime block up both sides to make sure we have clearence for the legs on the slidout. Only common problem with the 2002 gemini is a leak around the LED high mount brake light. I took it off and re-engineerd the sealing and have not had the leak since. Great trailer, has all features well built, customer service at starcraft is great.
Until you take down a few time, the canvas where in intersects with the slidout will trip up up. We found to slide in the slidout and pull out the slideout canvas until the bunk ends are in. Always check for the slidout canvas where the bunk ends slid in on the tracks
We ended up this year re-doing the interior, becuse it was out dated. We would not have done this if we were not happy and commited to having it for a long time. The fiberglass sides and roof are as good as your going to get in any trailer in the industry.

I looked hard at the Gemini in 2003, and came very close to buying it... but at that time I decided to go with a Hybrid intead and bought the Trail Cruiser. I found the interior ceiling height was not as tall inside as the Coleman/FFT trailers were, but since I'm kind of short anyway that didn't bother me at all.

feel free to reach out to me with any questions. I be out camping leaving friday morning thur Sunday. I don't see many gemini's out there. I think it has to do with they were very costly and that might have to do with that they were only made for a few years.

I have a 2002. Im new to popups.. Just bought mine in April and have been out 4 times. Love it. Its very unique looking... Very aerodynamic and modern looking though its 10 years old. I have had people comment that its the cadillac of popups during its day.. I have nothing to compare it to since were new and loving the fact that were no longer tenting and sleeping in relative comfort. I do wish there was more cabinet space. We tend to use the bench seat and table to pile 'stuff'. I felt very lucky to have it until i saw a coleman utah camped across from us on a recent trip. It was the highwall version and huge! With all the bells and whistles. I still love ours for what it is.. Its unique looking on the outside and i still have yet to see one on craiglist that would make me regret our purchase :) for what we paid.
Gemini,
Where were u when i asked about our slideout issues? I have to agree its a problem when the high side is on the slideout side. Ive had to dig down to get the stabilzers to rotate. I thought it was a flaw until our last trip. It was perfectly level and we had no problems with getting the stabilzers to rotate down. I did buy some blocks to put raise the slideout end if we run into that situation again. Also u are totally right about pulling the canvas out after pushing in the slideout prior to pushing in the bunk ends. I had to learn the hard way. Luckily no tears or tears ..lol

I have dug it out a few times. Now I will come into a level site which requires no leveling. will look at where the slidout jacks will be and if it even looks a little like it higher, I will block up both sides. I keep thinking about buying a short set of screw up leveling jacks to use when that side is high, but I'm to cheap.
The HW trailer are great because the cabinets are full size. We tow with a mini-van so it does not work with our TV. We have been addings draws and shelfs to our cabinets. Currently making draws for the sink and two slide out cabinets. I'm thinking about adding two draws into the front storage compartment throught the sliding door.
Have you had the leak on the high mount brake LED light?

well i bought it and i bought the prep package which they do all the safety checks on it and do repairs cost was 500 for this i got 2 new tires 2 new propane tanks new batt. new fire ext new heating element hot wtr, they pressure tested the propane lines made sure everything worked he also fixed the e brakes, which he had to replace a wire. I think i got a deal with that LOL. Heading out this weekend for adult trip so looking forward to it. I like the wheel buddies but still plan on getting the bearing pack this winter the tech did not check them but spinning the wheels he said i should be good.
I do have a question tho i have a 2 in foam for the bed i i keep that on and sheets when i close it up
thanks

Congratulations! Hope u have as much as weve had with it. :). If u have trouble lighting the water heater and refridgerator let me know. I have a link to a great video that someone made that really helped me out. The manual was worthless and i actually read this one ..lol. Keep in mind that the thermostat has a little on off switch on the bottom that u could barely see. Im sure that the dealer who sold it to u went over everything.. But just in case. Im very curiuos to hear what u think. I dont see much posts regarding them. I do have a question for both u and Gemini. Can u fit two 6v batteries under the front cover? Mine didnt have a cover and i was considering replacing unless it wont accomodate two batteries.
Gemini,
Sorry i dont login as much as i use to. Im focused on Salmon season :). Thanks for ur response. Id love to see Pics of your mods. I'm not aware of any leak problems from the led brake lights. How did u know it was leaking?

That great. Hope you have as much fun as we have had with our trailer. Not sure about the 2 inch foam. Our mattress is 4 inch. We do not leave the sheets on them. But many people do. If we are travelinf cg to cg we leve the beddin on the bed.
One thing to watch for is the flip down supports on the slide out. if there is a little uphill grade on that side of the trailer they will not clear the ground. Try fliping them down with the trailer closed and you will see there is not a lot of clearence. So we do bring a small shovel, and when backing into a site, if we even think the slide out side is a little up hill we will block up both side and add more blocks on the down hill until level.
Outside of figuring out the slideout supports, which will be a pia a few time until you figure it out. It a great trailer.
I would make sure the dealer is puttng raidal tire on it.
The trailer does not come with a jack or tire iron. So make sure you have one that works. The spare tire has diffrent size lug nuts then the ones on the axles. This seems to be a common problem in the RV industry

bearing buddy's have done more harm than good. They have been known to over pack the bearing and having the grease get pushed pass the seals to end up in the brake drums. If I used them, I would only give them one pump of grease
