I really, really like that style of Tundra.  Nice job!  I absolutely love my Toyota.  I just told my father-in-law the other day: "I never imagined I would own a Toyota, but I am 100% pleased with it."

I was born on a farm, grew up with a window decal that read "I'd rather push a Ford than drive a Chevy"

Never imagined I would own a Taco!  I guess with age comes wisdom and the disposal of ignorance.

Let me know how it works out, I wouldn't mind picking one of the "older" style Tundras up... they are nice trucks!!

Here is (drum roll, please) the new pup TV!

http://i1077.photobucket.com/albums/w467/gglplex/Toyota%20Tundra/IMG_0998.jpg

I didn't get an owner's manual with it so I'll be bugging Tundra folks in the near future (at least until I get one).

It has what looks like a factory receiver and the tranny cooler.

BTW, thanx for everyone's help!

Congrats!  Nice choice...of course I'm a little biased when it comes to Tundies ;)

TrailManor.......TRUE Pop-Up

Very good choice for your stated needs IMHO........ My son has that same truck (even the same color). He's very happy with the capacity of the truck, not as happy with the MPG..... Like I said before...... towing a TT and MPG should not be used in the same context.

BTW, for you Tundra owners out there:

- where did you mount your brake controller? pics would be great
- have you ever replaced your timing belt (V8 4.7L)?  was it an easy job?

I'll take a pic when I get home, but we mounted it using and modifying a faceplate that was already there on the right of the steering column. So it is almost a built-in install.  Connection was easy using the correct harness ordered from Prodigy (or maybe ordered through eTrailers or something like that.)

Toyota makes these little projects pretty easy with their wiring harnesses.  We just installed some aftermarket tow mirrors - heated and have blinker lights and everything!  They were super easy to install.  Our oem's didn't have lights so we honestly didn't expect the light part to work, but they sure do!  Pretty much plug and play!

OK, pics as promised:

And while I was at it I shot some pics of our new mirrors, which I'm so happy with!

Very nice mirrors!  Sweet install on both!

Where did you pick the mirrors up at?

I ordered them on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005H13SKQ/ref=oh_details_o05_s00_i00  We ordered from Amazon (the "more buying options" on the right, $229 and free Prime shipping)...it says ships in 1-2 months, but ours shipped within a couple of weeks.
