Oh no! My wonderful new Packer gnome was suppose to arrive today but I just got an email update that he's stuck in Helena MT due to a late train. hhhmmm.... didn't know UPS used trains. So, my gnome probably won't make the road trip to San Diego to see the Packers play (I'm leaving Monday for the Thursday game and sight-seeing along the way) but he will arrive in time to go camping at the Oregon Dunes!
Look for pictures!!
Happy camping!

Well, shoot! But we'll look forward to seeing him at other venues.
Have fun at the game!
Do you have any kind of auxiliary gnome that could stand in till the primary gnome arrives?

Did you guys knit these gnomes yourself? SO far about all I can find are the garden gnome statues.

I crocheted mine, and also made one for each family attending the Mid-Con rally in June, just to get the gnome project launched.
Garden gnomes would make great PUX gnomes! Feel free to take them along on your journeys!
If you know someone who knits or crochets, perhaps you could get one made if you don't have those skills yourself. Or if you want to learn, many patterns are very easy and would make good beginner projects. I found a lot of patterns on
Ravelry
. Some are free, some are not, all are copyrighted but can be used for personal use. There are other patterns available online, too.

Thanks. The garden gnome would be kind of bulky. I'm digging the crocheted ones since you can put them in a pocket or bag and take them with you easily.

Yeah, they don't weigh much.
There are instructions for even smaller ones on Ravelry.

Here is my maiden voyage of my new TV and new gnome!
but first, the gnome and I headed to San Diego for the Packer game!
Here he is at Qualcomm Stadium!
then we headed back to Oregon and over to the Oregon Dunes!
Unfortunately, he didn't like walking up the dunes so we decided to go kayaking on Siltcoos Lake
Now we are back home cleaning up the PU and getting ready to go camping again this weekend up at Suttle Lake to go kayaking some more!!
Happy Camping!

I got some of them to show up. I right clicked each pic in Picasa, then clicked Copy Image Location and put that between the [img] tags. I'm not sure why they didn't all show up, or why yours don't show up in your post. Maybe it has to do with size or something.
That's a super cute gnome, even if he is wearing the green and gold!
Thanks for sharing.

I just ordered our gnome on Amazon! This should be fun! The best kept secret on the forum is this thread! Hopefully many more will join the fun!

Got our gnome ordered. Sadly, he will not make it on our first trip, which is tonight.

Just ordered a Gnome Away from Home. The little gnome comes with a passport that I can post the photos and description in. First trip will be the PUX SCCampers 10th Annual Halloween Rally.

Our gnome arrived today! The kids have named him Mr. Wolf. I don't know why.
