Wonderful story!  Congrats to you :)

We've been considering becoming foster parents.  I just have to decide if I can withstand having my heart ripped out and stomped on by the system.  I feel there's such a need for stable homes, and we've raised our 3 and can offer that.

Enjoy your little one while you can, because they certainly get away from you quickly.

We wouldn't be able to stand the heart-rippage either.  There are different types of adoptions--cost inversely proportional to wait time/heart-rippage factor.  Send me a PM and I'd be happy to go into details.    Cool

We don't want to adopt.  We have children.  We just feel we can help kids in difficult circumstances.

Congratulations!!!  We, too, are an adoptive family...about to celebrate our family day in a couple of days as a matter of fact.  What a great story you'll have for your DS about getting "the call" (and something your DD will be able to hold over his head in a few years..."you made us go home from camping!" LOL)  I bet you couldn't hook back up fast enough...at least you hadn't set up camp.  Congrats again!

Hi from Los Lunas.

Two of our sons got initiated into pupping before they could walk and took to it well. We have never camped with hookups and we all survived the experience.  Wouldn't do it any differently!

I just realized (in my sleep-deprived haze) that I never posted any pics.  As the saying goes: "if you don't post any pix it didn't happen"!

Here's my newborn son:  http://s1077.photobucket.com/albums/w467/gglplex/Matthew/

Will have to post some recent pix soon...
