The following definitions should clear things up for everyone.
"15 Amp Outlet" = Normal household outlet
"20 Amp Outlet" = Normal household outlet that, upon closer examination, looks slightly different from the ones at home.

I've seen 20-amp receptacles at many campgrounds in the east. They're in a number of parks here in Tennessee, though I will concede I have never seen one on our coastline.

I've seen 'em a couple of times. We're not usually in CG's with power, but last July when "Hoteling it" at the Sacramento KOA I plugged us in to charge DW's laptop. Our camper just has a normal 15amp cable, and it plugged right in to the pole without having to use an adaptor. Did similarly at Lopez Lake just 15min south of here.

Ya but I'll bet that in both cases they also had a 30A outlet on the same pole......that is very common.... I know that Lake Lopez does.

Well. 20, 30, 15,........ Just got back yesterday from Darien Lake. Turns out the site that offered 20 amp service on website actually had 30 amp service!! All that worry for nothing. Had a great time and love having an electric hook-up!! Thanks for all your help.

No it doesn't ... one pin on the 20 amp receptacle is turned 90 degrees whereas both flat pins on a 15 amp receptacle are oriented the same.
All the 20 amp receptacles I have purchased here in the states will accept either a 15 or a 20 amp plug (NEMA 5-20R). Makes sense. I have not seen a 20 that will only accept a 15 unless it was one of the round twist lock, there may be others.

That's exactly what I figured. It would be really dumb to just put 20A service in a site that can take any camper. I just don't see an outfit like that being that dumb. Most all campers have 30A cords these days.
OK.... so tell us all about the place.... it looks really
cool
