Our new popup is on order and could be delivered any time now (today is June 5th): Viking Epic 2107, with 3-burner stove, heater, AC, cassette potti, fridge...... Spent beaucoup bucks yesterday at the dealership buying the "accessories". Can't wait to get back into popup camping!

Back Story:

Started backpacking when I was 11. Transitioned into "car camping" (in campgrounds -- mostly state parks -- with more stuff) in 1976, graduating to larger tents and more (and more) stuff. It finally got to be too much, and my then-wife and I bought a 2008 Viking Epic 1906, loaded.

I lost that in the dee-vorce. (She said she'd give me a couple of months to get the money together to buy it from her, but she listed it on Craigslist and sold it for less than she was going to sell to me.)

I am now about to be married (to the woman I was dating in 1976-78 and with whom I began car camping, on Maryland's Eastern Shore of the Chesapeake Bay). We found each other 2 Octobers ago via Facebook, and conditions were right.... We tie the not June 30th.

Really looking forward to popup-ing with her.
