That is my EXACT process...(Maybe I learned it from you!) with two minor differences. I put a few less grommets in and I put the hook side of the Velcro on the underside of the pup top, and the loop side on the covers....That's it. the exact same way. (Reflectix tape and all)
Mine were about $50.00 and still going strong!
