Even thought I have only had my jayco a year the lure of newer pop ups is calling me. I had to sell my highwall because of a job loss. Then it struck me they jayco is 23 years old and still going strong . It it had ac I would not be wanting to get rid of it. I can hardly find and 10 yo travel trailers that don't have rot in the front wall. It just tells me I better stick to pop ups. So lets have a roll call of who is camping in tweny plus year old campers?

 We are! Smile

The Plantation turns 25 next year and is  still going strong Approve. Don't get rid of the camper, find a solution with a portable a/c like many of us, or a window unit like may others of us and make your camper comfortable while keeping it affordable Cool.

Not me.

I just sold mine ('74 Apache Ramada) after our final trip this Easter. I didn't trade it for a new trailer though--the new ones have fancy gadgets but they aren't nearly as nice as the older popups. Mine was still perfect and rot free and no more trouble than a brand new camper would be. I've looked at the new ones and they don't have anything I want that I couldn't stick in my old Apache.

I decided I don't like messing with trailers, but if I have to tow, it'll be another old popup.

My Starmaster was 25 years old when I bought it in 2001. Sold it 3 years later and was still in good shape for its age.

Camping in a 40+ year old Pop-Up. Rebuilt 5 years ago, my 1971 SE.Woods Adventurer is still going strong, and very comfortable to sleep in. (Even more comfortable than my own bed at home)

Just acquired my first pup last November. It is a 1987 Jayco Cardinal 8 and other than having to replace the cables, she is solid and ready to go. Just installed a new fridge in her and she is a beauty. The family I got her from camped every year in her for 13 years, but due to cancer had to give her up.

I've got you all beat.  We camp in a 1969 Starcraft Compact Super 6 and we love our camper to death.  Most of the appliances, hardware, and canvas were replaced a few years back by the last owner.  I found all of the original paperwork in an envelope that was thumbtacked to the back of a drawer.  The appeal of the newer pop ups can be powerful, but we love the charm of the older trailers.  Especially if it's been taken care of as well as ours has.

Wow, some of these graceful ladies make our 21 year old pup look like a baby. We have a 1991 Coleman Chesapeake and love it!  After looking at the new pups, the older ones offered what we wanted, at a great price, and with less weight! I am glad to know we are not the only ones loving our classic.
