I own a 1983 Palomino Colt that has seen a bazillion miles, survived a hurricane while we were camping (no leaks) and produced countless family memories. Yes, it's a tad antiquated, but it was dirt cheap and it's all ours.
Welcome to the Pux, palmer4!
We would love to see pix of your
antiquated
classic
camper.

All beautiful campers. Todd--I love the fact that yours has the original propane cover on it. When we were at Hocking Hills (OHIO) last year we were camped next to one that was the same as yours and had the propane cover. I thought it was so cool then and still do. :)

Yeah, that was kind of a cool thing they did to the Nova, Galaxy, and Constellation from '87 through maybe '93? They were white in the early '90's, with grey tenting. They all had spare tire covers, like "Continental Kits" on automobiles....
When I stumbled across the CL ad for ours, I knew nothing about PUPs. I'd never been near one, let alone in one. But I saw the photos of it with the aerodymamic front and rear panels, and the LP and spare tires covers and thought, "That must have been some top of the line model, what ever it is."
Ha! Forgot about this shot of the camper as-found, on the day I picked it up...

The easiest way to post pics is to upload them to a free Photobucket account and then just roll your mouse over the "img" field in Photobucket until you see the word "copied". Then just paste in a post here and you are done.

We have a 1968 Coleman CT180 that we purchased 2 years ago.Used it the first year as it was,put a new canvas on last year, and this year I removed the fold down table and benches to save a lil weight.Youngest daughter(9)now uses a foldup cot to sleep on.Also gave it a new paint job this year. It's kinda a work in progress as we have been fixing it up a little at a time.I will post some pics soon

I'll be camping at the Sequoia RV Ranch June 21 to 25 with the Apache Calaforna round up and there be over 30 Apaches there. This will be my first with the members. I missed last years. Can't wait to get out of the high desert and go where there are big trees and a lot of green.
It will be my frist time towing my pop up a long ways like this about 8 hours or more. So one thing i did was regrease the bearings.Three more weeks and boy I'm going to see some awesome big tree. OHyeah still trying to post some pics of my 78 Apache Royal.

it'll be a few years before ours hits the 20 mark. '96 coleman shenandoah that got its first outing of the year up in Pine, ID. Went to Elks Flat CG. Forest service site that was not great but good.

The Starstreams are very cool from that era. A full foot-and-a-half longer than the Constellation/Galaxy/Nova models, but no ABS nose and tails. Post some glamour shots of the inside and outside when you get a chance

I didn't realize that pop up could last so long. Great news to read because my wife claims I take care of my pop up "too much".

I had a 68 puma that I bought in 01. I ended up gutting it and built all new cabinets. Put in new flooring and a new ceiling and new counter tops.Used it for 5 years. The canvas was dry rotted and every time I set it up it ripped somewhere. I kept a gallon of contact cement and new canvas on hand and repaired on site every time we camped. The repair was as strong as new. By the time I sold it to my neighbor I had probably covered 60% of the tenting. I painted the body to match the look of the patched canvas. Where ever we went camping, people would either laugh or tell me how cool the camper was. There is something to be said about keeping something alive longer than its natural life expectancy. Still love that camper. It was hard to see it dwindle into disrepair but something that old needs constant attention. A tree fell on it and finalized its demise. But I have now repurchased it for 50 bucks and am turning it into a utility trailer. I will be saving some of the interior pieces such as table supports ,the sink (which is better than my present) and whatever else I can use. Its memory and life will live on for me. Lotta memories in that one camper for me. We needed more room and she fit the bill. I think I will use some of canvas for something.
