I'm so proud of my big boy, he did a great job on his first ride in the kayak!  We could never get Morgan out in a boat, so we are thrilled that Kansas is humoring us :)  I won't say that he loves it quite yet, but he did agree to get back in for another go around, so i'm counting it as success.  I'm thinking that he will get more comfortable with it the more we go out.

That's neat!  My sister takes her pug out in our kayaks too.  And pugs just love water...  Clown  She's thinking of getting little Stewie his own doggie life jacket:

Way to go, Kansas!  Great picture, too.  Where were you??  Our DFs used to bring their canoe from time to time, but we never took Sam in it - I could just see him having a spaz and us all being in the drink.  Probably wouldn't have happened, but I'm terrified of water if I can't touch the bottom - preferably with my head still above said water.  For some unknown reason, when we camped we put him on his long line and he headed out into the nice, cool water.  We have a 2 1/2 acre lake in our back yard and just never thought about it.  Duh!  Glad Kansas is getting the hang of camping.

Thanks guys, and cute pic of Stewie, Geo!

Momdadh - we're just at a local little lake right by our house in this pic.  Nice and close to run home and change if any of us ended up in the drink ;)

My shih tzu, Kobe, goes on floats with us, whether kayak or canoe.  Normally he wears his lifejacket.  When kayaking, he's been known to swim from my kayak to DH, and sometimes back again. lol   He likes the water.  Thankfully, his jacket has a handle. :)
