Since the DW doesn't drink coffee, I look for an easy way to make one cup of coffee at a time while camping.  At one point, I kept a Senseo coffee pod brewer in the trailer, but that was big and bulky.  I have since been brewing coffee using a french press.

This past weekend I have had a chance to use an Aeropress coffee maker.  To use this coffee maker, you place a filter in the bottom of the coffee maker, add coffee, put it ofer a coffee mug, add hot water, stir and press the water through the grounds with the plunger.  The brewing process takes about 30 seconds versus 4 minutes with the french press. When you are done, you remove the bottom of the maker, and using the plunger, you press out the filter and puck of grounds into the garbage.

I think the french press brews a smother cup of coffee, but the Aeropress still makes a good cup of coffee. The clean up is definatly a lot easier with the Aeropress versus the press.

Agreed it works pretty darn good and makes a decent cup.

Easy to clean is a big plus as you mentioned.

I have been using one for a few years and love it.
