New lift (winch) cable for Goshen lift system.

New lift cable for Goshen lift system. I am posting this to help others who need parts for a Goshen lift system.
The main shaft on my winch broke which messed up the lift cable. I was going to repair the cable myself but needed a new shaft for the winch. I called Goshen to see if they had a shaft but they do not sell parts to the winch assembly. The whole winch costs only $39.00 from them. I then asked about the lift cable. She said it will cost $11.00 (!!) Can you believe that, less than the cost of the parts me to repair it! There are still companies around that stand behind their products. Cool.
Great company. They can be reached at (574) 533-4108 and carry lift parts for:
Camplite/Damon (since 1993)
Dutchman (1993-2003)
Forest River (since 1993)
Palomino (since 1987)
Rockwood (some models)
Skamper (since 1977)
Starcraft (1993-2008)
Sunlite (1987-1994)
Sylvan Sport (since 2008)
Viking (since 1995)

Thank you so much for the information! I needed a part for the winch on my pop up - your post led me right to the source and the price was right-I too am replacing the entire winch.

Great post. I too had the same experience. We replaced our goshen cable a few years ago. We ran over a piece of debres in the road which frayed our cable pretty bad. So we replaced it. It was actually a pretty easy and cheap fix. I thought it was going to be much worse and alot more expensive. Goshen is a great company.
