Walmart for the seven gallon like acenorm said.  I got some 3 & 1/2 gallon Aquatainers at Gander Mountain.

Check Sports Chalet.  That's where I found them when my local Wal-mart ran out.

The Aquatainer is manufactured by Reliance Products which is located in Winnipeg (Winterpeg Clown), Manitoba and is available in just two sizes - 7 US gals (26 litres) and 4 US gals (15 litres).  Personally, I wish they'd expand the lineup to include a slightly taller 10 US gal model as four of those would fit nicely in my Avalanche and be perfect for refilling my Spree's 40 gal fresh water holding tank. Dicks sporting goods. 7 gal and they are stackable. I think they were 17 bucks.

Oz and Us,

Here is a product you could use in the back of your Avalanche - LINK

Shelbyw,

I think if your needing it right away, Walmart would be your best bet.  I don't know if the Walmart location near you carries the Reliance Rhino Pak model or not. The one close to us carries this model and its a nice tank!

We use two different tanks,  the Wedco 20 liter Jerry Can & the Front Runner 20 liter Jerry Can.

50 litres (~ 13 US gals) is way too small for $220. Shocked  I can buy a similar but much larger 40 gal potable water tank here in Ontario at TSC (Tractor Supply in the US) for about the same but since I already have a set of Aquatainers that do serve the purpose it's difficult to justify the expense for any single tank like that.  The only drawback for me to the 7 gal Aquatainer is that although four Aquatainers fit nicely across the width of my Avalanche they only hold 28 gals so I usually keep another two in the trailer ... four taller 10 gal Aquatainers would solve that problem entirely.  In time this issue will solve itself once our boys no longer camp with us, it's just my DW & I, we'll be using much less fresh water and as a result four 7 gal Aquatainers will be plenty.  A large single tank would also have to live in the back of the truck during the season as I'd not want to be constantly moving it in & out.  I'd also have to find a place to store it during the winter whereas my Aquatainers store nicely on my garage wall whenever I need to have my Av's cargo compartment available for other purposes.

Oz and Us,

You are right about the winter storage, the 7 gallon containers would be easier to handle as well.  I just thought I'd mention the product, since I was posting a response to Shelbyw.   Easier to handle, is the reason we use the 20 liter Jerry tanks too!   Big Smile

You haven't said whether you're going to use these Aquatainers for collecting fresh water and pumping it into your trailer's fresh water holding tank or whether you're intending to use them for collecting grey water but ASSUMING you're using them for fresh water you'd find it immensely easier for the pump to drain the Aquatainers completely if you use a draw tube that will reach the bottom of the tank.

You won't have to fuss around with trying to keep the hose end located where it needs to be in the tank and once the Aquatainer is nearly empty slightly tipping it will allow the draw tube to suck out every last drop of water ... works like a charm. Approve

I put mine together with some scrap PVC tubing I had in the workshop and a few poly plumbing adapters I found at Home Depot and have been using it successfully for several years now. Approve

You might also want a short length of hose that will sit inside your trailer's fresh water gravity intake port without you having to stand there and hold the hose.

I ran across that issue a few years ago, and picked up a 40 gallon water bladder at CW.  It's really easy to store when it's not being used.

Yeah, Geodude has one that he's had for several years now and he says it works pretty well for him.  Problem is, AFAIK they're only sold through Camping World in the US and they're kinda pricey ... recently I've been playing around with this $10 water bag sold by Lee Valley Tools both here in Canada and the US.  I had to modify the intake so water wouldn't pour out as the bag was being filled but now it does seem that I can fill it pretty well to capacity.  My plan is to try it out on an actual camping trip sometime this spring and if it works out I'll blow another $10 for a second, giving me 42 gals of capacity, exactly the same as the fresh water tank on our Spree.  There'll have to be some clear advantages though over using Aquatainers, otherwise I'll just stick with what I know works well.

I like the jugs that are clear and flat-in out.  I don't need them much and they don't take up any space when empty.   We normally only stay 2-3 days at any one place and always fill up the tank before leaving.
