I have finished pulling down the old ceiling.  The ceiling has been burned and the fireplace emptied twice. Big Smile

Thank you Don.  If you want to come and camp, it will only cost you some manual labor.  Like going to where there is cell phone signal to call 911 if I fall through the roof.  Wink Big Smile

OK, maybe I will call 911 before I start working. Wink Big Smile

You are more than welcome to camp there and you don't have to do any work. Smile

Well sure Marcy.  Paper plates, pass the jug, and fingers = no dishes and I will do the cooking!  Saturday late afternoon 2 of the boys came up and we replaced the metal signs in the ceiling.  New wood and real metal roofing.  I waited 3 hours today for a downpour to see if there were any leaks, but I came home without knowing.

After a few touch ups my patio is now dry.  It has a sofa, rocking chair, a real refrigerator (just set up yesterday), a small table, and throw rugs. One side is still a work area.  There isn't any nasty smell!  I have posted a few more pictures with more to come as I get the wiring, painting, insulation, new ceiling, etc. Big Smile

That is so exciting Tracy.  You are doing such a great job at getting that place in livable condition.  I am so impressed.  You are going to have such a great camping retreat, you may never want to go back home.  LOL!

2 weeks ago, with help from HersheyGirl I ran 700 foot of water line from a spring, up on the mountain to my lot.  I used a gallon milk jug to make a funnel to get the water into the 1 inch water line.  Built a small dam to make the water deeper and I put 2 layers of screen over the head of the spring.  That gave me running water at my camp.  I put a boiler faucet on the end of the water line.  Had the water tested and I have a few coliform bacteria in the water.  This past weekend we had a "Patio Party"/family reunion.  I bought a used utility sink and ran water line to the sink.  I installed 2 filters in the water line before the sink.  Took a water sample to the lab after work today and now I am waiting to find out if the water is safe.  I will use it to wash the trailer and clean out my black water tank even if it is not drinkable. Congrats Tracy. In typical fashion, you've been working hard and have gotten things moving.  Good for you! Hope you take a break to "enjoy" some peace and quiet.

Hi Di how are you and yours?  I do hope to get some R&R...well at some point.  Today was spent flushing out the black tank Dead.  With the trailer not moving and dumping into a blue tote I was getting some build up.  Now it is much cleaner.  It is nice to have running water to do some cleaning.  This weekend I hope to wash the camper and then clean/treat the rubber roof. Smile
