I have a set of the Super High Wind Series Popup Gizmos covers for my 1999 Coleman Niagara and they are worth every penny. But what's driven me to write this review is the most unbelievably awesome customer service I received from Bob Pitney, the owner of the company. So first the story, then the review...

I had posted some pictures of the various modifications to my camper on Flickr. Someone saw the photo of my camper with the Gizmos installed and emailed Bob just to let him know. After taking a look, Bob emailed me completely unsolicited to let me know that they didn't fit quite right and that he'd like to fix them for me. I mailed them in and the added a few inches plus a brand new Velcro header and got them back to me before my next campout. I am completely floored by this outstanding service. He could have said nothing and saved himself the time, money and effort as I was getting along and figured that was they way they fit (they fit round the corners of my bunk ends but just barely in the middle but they worked fine). Now they work awesomely! THANK YOU, BOB!

As for the review, these are well worth every penny I spent. We regularly camp with another family who has a similar camper. Side by side in the campground, you can go in their camper and their metal bunk end support is too hot to touch. Put your hand up near the ceiling of the bunk end and you can feel heat radiating down on your hand. Then go in our camper with our bunk end covers installed. You can easily touch the metal rod and even if you put your hand on the bunk end ceiling, it's just slightly warm. With the bunk end covers installed, we can camp in 100 degree and more temperatures and our A/C has no problem keeping the entire camper cool. I can lie in the bunk end and read comfortably in the middle of the day. Our friends can't even get in their bunk end. I love these.  I have the two bunk end covers and the slide out dinette cover. With the super high wind editions, I've never had any problems during strong winds. You specify your year, make and model and he'll make you a custom set for your pop up. If, after you receive them, they don't fit right, just return and he'll replace with the correct size. (Because of slight variations in manufacturing all off the same year, make and model are not necessarily the same dimension). Great product, great guarantee and awesome customer service.

My buddy ordered a super wind wind set for his camper and along with the reviews I've read I ordered my set late on Saturday night (6/23/12)  To my surprise, I had an email in my mailbox Sunday morning thanking me for the order and he would get the covers out to me asap.  Now this wasn't a canned email response, I thought to myself "what awesome service!"

I have a question, I have been thinking of ordering the gizmos for my hybrid, but inertia is sometimes hard to overcome.  My problem is not so much the heat but light.  The light weight stuff, not canvas, on the bunk outs lets too much light in.  I am a light sleeper, and when the sun comes up, so do I.  It doesn't matter if we are in the shade, sun, or in between.  Do the gizmos help to block out some light?  What sayeth you have purchased them!

Yes, they block some light on the ceiling panel and do make a difference.  They don't cover the windows, so it won't affect the areas where most of the light enters.

+1

We also use reflectix in the windows most of the year and the combination of gizmos and reflectix really do help us sleep just a little bit longer!

It was great customer service from Bob and this last trip I was glad I made the investment.  Sap was constantly falling from the trees to the point that the table cloth on the picnic table would stick to your arms.  It was great knowing that we could pull off the PUG and wipe it off with a damp sponge let it dry and put it away.

I did finally order the gizmos, they do an excellent job of keeping the ceiling of our bunkout dark, I slept an extrahour!  Ctan't say anything about controlling the heat, I had to go to Goodwill today and buy a jacket.  Bob got the order out very, very quickly.  Could we talk him into manufacturing RVs?  He would produce an awesome rv!
