We bought one toward the end of last year and like it a lot.  It definatley cuts down on the dirt tracked into the camper.

I would recommend finding something to store it in when not in use.  We are still trying to figure out the best way to store ours.

About storing your awning mat... We use an old folding chair cover.  When folding the last part just roll rather than fold.  Ours fits perfect and we have a 12x9 rug.

Comparing the one at Walmart to the one I purchased off of eBay, I don't expect you will get too many years out the walmart one. It's very thin. The ones on eBay are only a little more and you have more color/pattern choices.

Yep, this is what we do too.  The chairs died a few years ago, but their carrying bags live on!  They work perfect!

Camco Leisure Mats are the best. Dirt falls right through them and keeps everying clean.

We have one from Home Depot

It gets muddy after rain but we sweep it, and then we hose it down at home once per year or more if needed.

I like the green color,  it looks more natural than polyester.

We got ours at Camping World. Paid a bit more for it, but it has lasted 5 years and is still in great shape.
Also found a Patio Mat Carrying Bag at CW that works perfectly for storing it. A couple of trips the mat was covered in mud. This bag kept the dirt contained until we got home and could hang up and hose off the mat.

I dislike WalMaaaaaaaaaaaaa....

We bought ours here http://www.rvawningmats.com/ about 7 years ago. It's still going strong, it is easy to clean, helps keep the dirt outside of the treller and allows rain/water to run right through. Even after a wet/wild weekend, it is light and easy to roll up and store!

I think ours is the Camco one, without velcro straps.

We use a big storage tote on the rear hitch of our camper. I put the hoses and mountain pie makers in heavy trash or contractor's bags on the bottom, then 'fold' (is there such a thing?) the screen room and lay it in the tote, then fold the mat into the right width and fold it over on TOP of the screen room in the tote.

It's pretty thick and cushioned. I can then put the BAL Leveler in a contractor's bag and place it on TOP of the mat, without damaging the screen room. I also stick the 'dog dish thing' for the jack wheel and a set of wheel chocks on top of the mat before closing the tote.

This method keeps the bulky/messy things out of the camper and TV, protects the screen room, provides an okay place for a temporarily wet or dirty mat until we get home, and keeps our initial setup items on top and handy.

Mats make EXCELLENT padding when packing ;)  Pack in on something, wrap it around something, roll it in a tube, etc.
