Nice pics!
We have a clay track in our town as well with opening day in April sometime.  Right now the parking area is a mud hole due to the clay base that it sits in and the above normal rainfall so far this year.

I thought our parking lots were going to be soft, but for the most part they were OK. What type of cars do they run at your track?
The big thing in Pa. is open wheel sprint cars, we also have a good super late model field. The 410 sprint cars are wicked, they weigh 1400lbs and have approx. 900hp.

Jumper,

The sound of a 410 at full song sends shivers up my back!!! We dont have much sprint racing here in CO, but I grew up watching and racing in CA.

Haven't seen any sprints in a couple of years. I need a fix!!!!  Cheesy My favorite track has been the one across from Charlotte Motor Speedway. Then at one of my local tracks Senoia Raceway.

The Charlotte Dirt Track is a really nice facility, we went down for the World Finals a couple times. Charlotte is such a cool place if your into motorsports.

Here is the link to our local track.

http://www.racesantamariaspeedway.com/

After the recent rains we have had the last few days, over 6" since Sat., the parking lot which is clay, is well under water again.  When we drove by the track which is visible from the freeway on Sunday, DW said there was a trailer with the water up to the middle of the tires.
Opening day is scheduled for April 2, 2011.  Guess we will see.  It won't be the first time races have been delayed due to rain.

I used to to to Santa Maria all the time! Loved seeing the NARC boys and Outlaws there, but the locals put on a GREAT show too! the seating on the hillside is very cool. I remember truckers pulling over and watching from the feeway too...
