The couple haven't had a chance to use it yet as there was a leak in the roof and when they opened it there was mold on the tenting.  Not sure how bad it was and I don't want to press the issue.

They just got married two weeks ago Friday so they had some more pressing items on their plate.

(BTW - it was one of the most nicest weddings I have ever been too... and just to show how kind this couple is they made sure that all their guests ate first before the head table.  That's the first wedding I had been too where the Bride and Groom didn't eat first... but that's just how they roll).

Congratulations to them on both their nuptials and the new pup!  Perhaps they can call it their "SnowMobile" in honor of the gentleman who gave it to them.

We never mentioned the death to them.  They are the type of couple that would feel guilty or something... not that they have any reason to, but it might taint it for them.

Glad this plan worked out, but such a tragedy for the man's family.  If they still haven't had a chance to get out in their PUP, how 'bout offering them your help in getting it ready (kind of a fun, get-together time) and doing any minor repairs and then treating them to a weekend of camping together?  If you think, however, that they might be offended or that they're being pushed in getting it ready - totally disregard this idea.  You know them best.

Another idea, do the CGs you stay in allow both a tent and a trailer on the same site??  Many in our area do and the cost is the same or only slightly more.  If you're ready to get camping, maybe they'd enjoy the time together using their tent.

Best wishes and hope their situation improves.
