Does this seem nosey?

We enjoy -- among other things, like game playing, reading, and photography -- "walking the loop", a term we got from, uh, walking around the camping loop at our favorite state park. We enjoy the exercise, and we like to check out the campsites: how different people camp, their units, their tarps/screen rooms, etc. We're always on the lookout for new (and better) equipment and ways of doing things, and we get to meet interesting people.

I do the same thing after getting settled in. I like to check out our neighbors (just like I check out patrons at a public place before taking my seat) and look for good ideas at the same time. Before we bought our pup I would say a friendly hello to someone hanging out near their camper and attempt to start a conversation with them. I was never pushy and I was never turned away when I started asking questions. We used a relative's pop up for a while before buying our own, and I certainly learned a lot by seeing different pup's and their layout/accessories. I even had several people offer for my wife and I to take a look inside and check their unit out. I've never had a bad interaction with someone while camping and I'm hoping that continues!
I don't think there is anything wrong with getting exercise and checking things out, but like OREO57 said, don't intrude.

I thought this was required after dinner!
I take our Miniature Dachshunds. Magnet for good looking women and if the conversation takes a long time good for a beer as well!

We always walk around the campground, with or without the dog, to check out the other sites. A lot of times it's the people at the sites that your looking at that actually start the conversation with a friendly 'hello'.
Last time we camped, I had about 4 different campers stop to say hi while I was setting up. I didn't mind a bit.

I push my son around either in the stroller or on his tricycle w/a push bar, and we check out the scenery. I now know I need a fold out table, a portable gas or charcoal grill and stand, some new chairs, tacky lights.... we get to exercise and shop at the same time!

I love people watching! I love seeing what other people have and get ideas from them! I'm pretty nosey in general though.... :)

We usually just look around as we drive in or out of the loop. I tend to be more interested in our site selection for next time rather than other people's rigs.
What I prefer to watch is other people setting up...and all the comedy that sometimes comes with it.

We often "walk the loop" and I am being pushed in a wheel chair. Like others, we love looking at others campsites and just saying hello to fellow campers. I am a people watcher, by nature, but I don't consider myself nosey, rather I think of myself as friendly.

I enjoy "walking the loop" and have met so many nice people while taking my walk. I have found that it is also a great way to get new decorating ideas. It would be hard to imagine just sitting around my HTT and not venturing out to check-out my surroundings.

We have always done this in the early evening. We started it back during our tenting days. We call it a "gear walk" because we are checking out others gear.
