Hey, take a hike!

Within the last month, I have begun the little things that will be leading up to a big reno of our 1988 Starcraft Nova.

1.  Removed Wardrobe - didn't like it and prefer the counter space.
2.  Removed Sink - making the camper dry - no plumbing.  Right now the microwave is in that spot.
3.  Removed Propane/Battery Cover - going to build a cargo deck  with a bumper hitch in the middle to put a bike rack.  The deck with have d-rings around it so it will be easy to strap down containers for firewood, etc.

This fall, after done camping for the year, will remove the dinette and all the cabinets and counters to make room for a new floor and new floor plan with custom cabinets (going to have the countertops with a lift-up option for easy access to contents while camping and slide out shelves) and a nice big dinette that will convert to a queen size sleeping area.  Going to shorten one bunk down so I can fit a taller fridge in the middle and still be able to sleep 6 people in the PUP.  New canvas, new paint job, new decals - going to look SWEET!  I will be documenting all the work with pics as well as blogging about it.  Should be fun!

I was wondering, is there a market to sell these things as I remove them?  I think the only people who would be interested would be someone restoring a Starcraft camper.  Should I post the items here or should I go with Craigslist?  How would I even know what they are worth?

ps: I know I really won't get my investment back or change the base value of the PUP, but I want to make it how we want it for many years to come so it's better for me to reno this sturdy 12ft box then look for something else that still won't have everything they way we want it.

Looking forward to watching this happen, Char!  Sounds like some interesting mods you have in mind.

Check out ngatel's rebuild of their camper.  They did some cool stuff in theirs, too.

Sounds like a great project.  I wouldn't sweat the getting your investment back part.  It's all about having a unit that works best for you and the pride from doing it your own bad self.  The heck with what it costs.
