If not the Avalon, then the Rockwood 296HW

The Coleman Avalon and the Rockwood/Flagstaff 296HW/29HW are tandem axle, 16ft box PUP's.
I know the Avalon is 28'10" when opened up, due to it having king beds on both ends. The Forest River products are shorter, opened up, at 26'9"............ due to having a smaller bed on one side.
So, the winner of the biggun prize is: The Coleman Avalon !!!!!! (the crowd goes wild)

The Avalon is indeed a beautiful pop up, I would also suggest checking out the Starcraft Centennial Series, it is a couple feet Shorter in open length than the Avalon, but it is nearly 1,000 lbs lighter. In our experience when we were in the market - it was also thousands of dollars cheaper. the Centennial has everything we ever dreamed of needing in a pop up. Good luck

The Starcrafts are very nice also. When we were looking, we originally looked at the 14' boxes also, like the largest Centennials, Rockwood 276HW, and Niagra.
Ultimately, we decided that we wanted the extra interior room. We also wanted the tandem axles.
Has Starcraft started putting the RV toilets and black tanks in any of their units yet?? This is also a plus for our Avalon, vs a cartridge. Although some feel just the opposite. My Mom is joining us on our next outing (the 21st), so the RV toilet will be a HUGE plus. LOL
We certainly couldn't be more tickled with our Avalon, as I am sure everyone is with their PUP's. I will say, that the jackknife sofa is incredibly comfortable (and my husbands favorite place, in the PUP).

I am not sure about the bathroom, grey/black water tanks on the Centennial - ours does not have a bathroom - at the time of purchase - we purchased used and got such a deal and didn't think a bathroom was important to us - If we were buying new - we would almost certainly reconsider the bathroom - our friends that have them find them very handy! I concurr on the Jack Knife Sofa, its a great place to relax and an easy place to convert to another bed for our son. Thats what we like the most - 4 sleeping areas so each child has their own sleeping space! You can get nearly everything we have in a 12' model, but the extra space is nice and I am sure it is the same with an even larger model. I remember thinking going from an 8' box to 12' and thinking it was incredible the additional space and then when we went to the Centennial, thinking the same especially with the addition of the slide out and even a longer box- someday maybe we will feel the same about a 16' model although the next upgrage would probably be more along the lines of a 23' hybrid, we really like the Rockwood Roo 233 with 3 Pop Out Beds

We also looked at the Rockwood hybrids, before we made our decision.
We don't like to buy multiple times, on anything, so we agonized over what we wanted to get. Ultimately, having the PUP camping experience and connection to nature, plus easier towing and storage, won out over a hybrid. It just seemed like none of them had much in the way of windows.
Frankly, one of our favorite features of the 16' box PUP's, is the huge u-shaped dinette. It will actually hold an adult, to sleep, if necessary.
Its funny, because when Corey was one, we bought a '95 Camplite, with the slide-out. At the time, we only had our '03 V6 Mazda Tribute AWD for a tow vehicle, so there wasn't alot of storage available in it. We discovered that the Camplite had next to no storage, when down, so we never used it (too many peripherals with a baby). I cleaned it up real nice, and sold it for $1000 more than we paid for it.
Now I have more storage than I need. LOL
