Hi all...great site with tones great of info!! Smiley

The last couple of years I have been tent camping but the "last time" it got down to 17 degrees!!! Embarrassed Dead
I just picked up a 1999 Rockwood 1620 for $2500......pretty good deal? Are Rockwood decent campers? How do they compare to Colemans, Starcrafts, etc? Its a 1 owner, used a couple a times a year, spotless pop up that has been garaged and well taken care of. It has ac, heat, stove, sink, 3way fridge, awning and a wrap around dinette.

Im a little unsure of the stock heater so I bought a Mr Buddy heater and a 10' extension hose so I can attach to my "big" propane tank.

Ill be towing it with a 2008 Toyota FJ Cruiser

If there is any issues or advice you can think mof please let me know.

Thank you in advance

Here she is....

Thanks again

Congrats!  Looks very similar to mine, but 7 years newer.  Love the color combination.  I think your tow vehicle is rated to tow three or four of those trailers in tandem...lol

Can't wait to read your camping stories.

WOW.... what a sharp looking camper.
Good luck with it, and I hope it brings you many years of dependable service and fond camping memories in the future.
With all the included features, I would say you scored a very good deal on this one.

Don't be intimidated using the furnace.
I have had a furnace in both my PU's over the past twenty years, and I'm still around to reply to your post.   Smile

Although they can be some what noisy and use a lot of propane, (compaired to a 3-way fridge or water heater) they are very safe to use and should keep that PU very comfortable.

 BTW: welcome to the forum.

Welcome to PUX

Read the owner's manual about using the buddy while sleeping!
If ya got electricity, use one or two 1500 watt oscillating heaters, one for each end, plug one into the 20A outlet for the air conditioner.

Happy camping.

Read the owner's manual about using the buddy while sleeping!

I read the owners manual and it basically (in general) says its safe to operate indoors. Is there somthing dangerous I should be aware of? I plan on unzipping a corner of the windows on each side to get some cross ventilation.

Thanks

I'll use my built-in heater for the PUP.  I do have a couple of Lil Mr Buddy's I used for my green house plumbed up to a 30 LB tank.  The problem I've had with the large tanks and the Mr Buddy's is the large tanks allow oil to come out that clogged the low oxygen sensor and other small parts even though I had the filter on them.  YMMV...
