Hi All! I know this isn't really a matter of fixing but this seemed like a good place to start so we can avoid having to fix anything. We upgraded this past May from an '81 Coleman Niagra that needed no winterizing to an '08 Fleetwood/Coleman Bayside. So needless to say this whole thing about winterizing is a whole new ballgame for us. Any helpful hints, tips or tricks would be very greatly appreciated!! As I said this is totally new to us so feel free to be detailed with any info you have to offer. Thanks in advance for your time and help!!

Your owners manual should have good instructions, so you might check that.

I made a check list for my unit:
-drain water heater
-drain fresh water holding tank
-utilize by-pass
-pour antifreeze into holding tank (several gallons) and pump through all water lines till pink is seen coming out.
-pour antifreeze in all traps and blackwater holding tank
-make sure toilet is flushing pink.

The other option is to use an air compressor to blow out the lines.

Another option, is pull the hose from the fresh water tank and let the pump pull the antifreeze out of the jug.

I have two winterizing items on my web site at paushe.com.  One is for a travel trailer but still largely applicable, and is step by step.

There's something on winterizing popups under the "2002 Coleman" link that is less detailed but shows some of the steps in pictures.

Good Morning..
we have a new to us, viking epic 1906st 2006.
We do not have a toilet/shower in the unit and have never used the water tank/sink, nor the refrigerator. We do all dry camping.
Question to all you folks...since the H2O tanks were empty when we got this unit, as were the lines, do we still need to do anything with them?
Do we need to do anything with the fridge?
This was purchased from a dealer and we were assured that everything was empty.
Anything else to do for winterizing? We live in Wisconsin, so the winters are cold and fairly long. It will be stored in our unheated garage.
I assume we take the battery off...we do with our boats.
Thank you ahead of time for any help...this is our first popup and we want it to last us a loooong time.

Some will blow out their water lines so I believe you're set for winter with empty lines.

(I thought Michigan was on the "East Coast"Huh?   Wink  )

HAA... I got to thinking about that after I posted...  After all, we are in WEST Michigan, and some of the advertisements state "West Coast of Michigan... "  so I now see East Coast in your case!!

Now to continue with your regularly scheduled thread...
