I fly electric aircraft in Jacksonville. whats neat is ive turned a few of my planes into camera planes. theres a small digital camera thats commonly known as the gumstick camera (or spy camera)you can buy on ebay for about 15 dollars. its made to fit into the old wrigleys gum packages. I use an e-flight Jenny as my main video plane as its a small biplane. I havent brought them on camping trips yet but do have some vids on youtube from florida and virginia. 1 from the flying in the bad snowstorm that hit around christmas 2 or 3 years ago. search youtube for davedodd and enjoy

I take my 2wd Slash with me when I go out. Good way to meet people.

I'm into R/C cars, though I've only ever once taken one with me camping.  Most of the time I'm to busy geocaching to do anything else. ;)  Though there have been times I would have liked to have had the R/Cs, but I was dry camping and didn't want to waste the battery supply (all my cars are electric).

I always take my TRX Slash 2wd with me! Fun as heck! While I'm charging the battery's for the r/c I'm charging the battery's on the pup. Never been hassled by rangers, most people think it's cool.Little kids love it. Good ice breaker. Most of the time it's the "Old Darksiders"[50ft class A,with there jump suits, there little what ever it is dog, that think they own the CG] that won't talk to you anyway because your in a pup, that will say something.

If you are at Flamingo lakes resort (very nice campground)In North Jacksonville, florida they have a big lake ive flown off of. Have a Guanli pby catalina ive flown out there. last time i had to go swimming to retrieve it due to a bad servo. theres also an rc flying field with a concrete runways about 5 to 6 miles away. you do have to have AMA insurance there though. BUT at the entrance to that field there is a LARGE field not on property. as long as you fly 2.4 they wont say anything

I picked up a RC truck (cheap) for my daughter to play with on the next trip. My lab loves chasing it!

I really want to build an RC PBY one of these days...

Our whole family racers off road RC.  In fact, that's why we decided to get a trailer in the first place.  We travel all over the pacific northwest for races and having a trailer will not only be more fun and a little home away from home, but will also save us a little money with not having to pay for hotels all the time.  Which means it's that much more money I can spend on RC parts!!!

My son has a 2wd Traxxas Slash which we put a Brushless System in and Stampede Wheels on (Flame Duct Tape Body).  I've got a 4wd Traxxas Slash which I put Proline Trenchers 2.8 on and an EMaxx Body.  Love to play with these.  Definitely will be taking them with us camping.

My newest endeavor though is in RC Flight and my most recent purchase is a RC Quadcopter that I've mounted a camera to the front of.

I used the Pulse to practice IMAC aerobatics last year and I competed for the first time.  Now there's a new dog in the shed, ready to go for 2013:

SBach 342, 29% scale, 50cc gas engine, 87" wingspan, 23" prop, 18.5 lbs.

This airplane is new to me - it was a little rough when I bought it used in the fall and I've put a lot of hours in to make it ready for the 2013 season.
