Dean -
I didn't want to post this in "General" & get a silly heated debate going about PUX flag's as I think the idea of your 3 "official" traveling PUX flags/books are a great idea (Cool).

However, we only boondock where we obviously don't see any PUX'ers as well as dry camp at cg's where we have never run into a fellow PUX'er.
I don't often advertise when we'll be away from home except for a few trips a year.
We camp quite a bit - average of every 5-6 weeks year 'round - and I being a chatty kind of guy (Big Smile) talk (or at least say hello) to almost every PU owner I see when at a cg.  At least once a trip I am explaining the PUG's, BAL Leveler, Ladder Golf, dual LP tank switch-over tee, & other outside PU items/gadgets/mod's. to a victim, er interested PU owner.
Of course if I haven't freaked them out by then (Tongue) I get around to mentioning PUX and they say something like; "I never even thought to look online for a PU forum for help & idea's" so I tell them the link and neither of us have a pen & paper nearby of course so they end up forgetting it.

Sure would love to have a PUX (with web address) flag, banner, or a-bit-larger-than-regular-size bumper sticker to set in the front bunk's window screen when folks walk by the PU.

I have a PUX hitch cover (which I don't see in the PUX store anymore btw), but of course that's in the back of the TV when the draw bar is in place.

Any plans to sell anything like that?

If not, no worries, but thought I'd ask.  Smile

Again, these would be personally owned & completely apart from the 3 "official" traveling PUX flags/books.

edit - And no offense intended, but the current bumper stickers with the corny/cute sayings aren't our cup of tea.

Count me in on the flags for purchase idea. I would like to see a flag with grommets for my flag pole. But any flag or banner that Jeff described above would be great. I have the decal that people ask me about.Don <>< USA  September 11  Nevada Pickup Black 26 Ford F-15 FX4 4X4 5.4L SuperCrew Pickup Green 27 Toyota Tundra SR5 4X4 5.7L Double Cab[popgrey] 27 Fleetwood Evolution E-1 and[tt-k] as soon as my AIRSTREAM hitch SEED sprouts. See, we're like proud PUX peacock's that want to strut our stuff around the cg (when we're camping at an actual cg that is).  Big SmileTongue[8D]6 confirmed orders so far Dean.  [;)]Jeff'2 Coleman Utah CP[popgreen] SUV Grey"Get busy living, ..."Red Barchetta’s site

Add me to the list..... I will take one. Would be cool to fly one while camping at reenactments and such.I even have an idea for a flagpole.... they make a foot that you put under a tire, and then put a flag pole in it. Well, there is enough room on the plate to drill some holes.  Drill 3 or 4 holes in the plate. Then weld 3 or 4 bolts to the frame. Then you just put the plate up to the frame, and secure with wing nuts. Now I have to figure out how to secure it to the roof. Something that won't have bolts sticking out of the side of the roof while the roof is down. Maybe a plate on top of the roof, with a hoop. During setup, before cranking the roof up, you put the pole in the hoop and base. (Install the base first.) Secure to the base with a wingnut. Then start cranking the roof. The upper hoop will slide up the pole as you lift. The key is to make the upper hoop loose enough to slide, but not loose enough to have the pole rattling while raised. Then when you lower the roof, the same thing happens. The roof hoop slides down the pole.

Dean, Create a flag that has all three of your sites on it (PUX, HUX, RV Itch), and I will purchase one.Also....... Can you get "business" cards made up with all three symbols and the web address printed? If so, I will place an order for 5 cards.Ron[st-IL] Hybrid SUV Yellow24 Fleetwood Redwood26 Fleetwood Orbit 24xps 1997 Suburban1 Wife of 23 years3 DK'sandKimmey the 4 legged kidRemember: You can never make anything idiot proof, you will always find a bigger idiot.

neonhomer,I use this stainless steel Rail Mount Flag Pole Socket by Taylor Made on one of my roof rack bars. Fits the 1 1/8" Yakima bar perfectly and a flag pole up to a 1" diameter can be used. They are also made to fit 7/8" to 1 1/4" bars/rails. Socket #974 fits the Yakima bars. Prior to raising the roof I put my flag pole in and up it goes. You can get them at most marine supply stores if interested.Don <><

Only problem is I don't have a roof rack on my 81 Coleman. I was outside looking today, and thought about taking a piece of Unistrut and bolting that to the side of the roof. Then I would have a place to mount the U-bolt/upper hoop.I'll figure something out. Worst case scenario, I will just use the "park on" footplate and reduce the pole size. (Was thinking of a pole that would be about 12-15' high.)
