Hey all, have sort of been in and out for the summer. Talked with Dean a while back and we are still looking at pricing. Our work is mostly long use commercial accounts and thus the pieces we produce are on heavy 2 denier all weather nylon materials. The art is digitally printed. Great flags but not as inexpensive as the old screen printed stuff that used to be out there. I will be back in the office tomorrow and will double check my numbers to Dean and see if he thinks we could throw it our there and see how many would be interested based on a quantity. Thanks - and I do agree that we shouldn't do anything without Dean's express permission.Talk to you later,The G-W clan1999 Windstar22 Coleman Sun ValleyDH '61, DW '65, DS '97, DD '

The issue I have always had with the flags is the cost. In the past I paid my mom to sew up several blanks which were silk-screend at a friends shop. While we had a 1% success rate on making the blanks, we were not so lucky with the silk screening. There were several that got messed up, for this reason my friend's wife didn't really like to do them, although I was okay with it since I actually allowed for that. Currently there are no blanks my mom has not been able to get back to that project as the last couple years have been very busy for my parents. Even now they are currently in Florida for a wedding. We are now finding that the nylon material we used is not the best material to use.I have checked with several flag shops over the years and the issue always ends up being the same. In order to get the cost down to a reasonable level I would have to order far more than I can hope to sell. If I order a smaller amount then the cost is far more than I would expect people to want to pay. I have been keeping an eye out for another way to get this done at a reasonable cost and have been hoping the heat press would be a good option. We had car flags for a while that turned out fairly well but the ink costs were pretty spendy and this year has not been the best year for the store making it more difficult to explore new products.I know I have talked to a couple of PUX members over the years about flags, but I need to find a solution that has the end product at a cost people are willing to pay.I am always willing to entertain new solutions to the problem, just contact me either by email or by phone. Hopefully something will come up.

Thanks, Dean, for chiming in, and I know you've explained all that before.  I'm confused now, though, because I see two things happening.  Are we talking about getting an estimate for flags to be made and sold to us as individuals, or are we talking about flags being made and sold to Dean for resale?  I thought it started out as the former, but now I'm not sure.  Either way I'm on board if the price is anywhere reasonable.

I'm not sure what others would be willing to pay for a 3x5 or a bit smaller flag, but I would spend $25/$3 for a quality printing job.  I don't buy many flags, though, so I don't know if I'm being cheap. PopUp Green Pickup White'96 Jayco 127

I would pay whatever cost was needed even it it ended up being a just-for-me type purchase/product.Going back to my initial post in this thread, I simply would like to have a PUX (with logo & web address) small "garden-size" flag/banner or a large-size bumper sticker. Most likely to place in the front bunk of the PU between the tenting and the screening. It does not need to be heavy-duty weather-proof as it won't be exposed to direct sun or rain.Just would like to spread the PUX word to walking passer-by's (when we find ourselves at actual campgrounds that is) is all.If it doesn't work out then, oh well ...Jeff'2 Coleman Utah CP[popgreen] SUV Grey"Get busy living, ..."Red Barchetta’s site

Was this issue ever resolved?  I would love to fly my PUX freak flag while camping.

I would buy a small (e.g., 8x12" or so) PUX flag that I could attach to a bunk end when camping in a campground.

I certainly am not going to approach other PUP owners in a campground and ask if they are PUX members.  The flag is a nice way to handle the issue passively.  If they are members they would recognize the flag and could decide to stop and talk if they wished.  Of those who are not members, most would ignore it because they'd not know its meaning but some might ask and I could then tell them about the website.

I would like a small flag for my bunk end also.  I have learned quite a bit from this site and would like to show my support.  And also to help other campers.  Hopefully this happens.

Count me in as well. I wouldn't mind spending 25-30 on a flag. Not sure what kind of pricing Dean was getting but I believe he could sell them if they were in that range.

they make a foot that you put under a tire, and then put a flag pole in it. Well, there is enough room on the plate to drill some holes.  Drill 3 or 4 holes in the plate. Then weld 3 or 4 bolts to the frame. Then you just put the plate up to the frame, and secure with wing nuts. Now I have to figure out how to secure it to the roof. Something that won't have bolts sticking out of the side of the roof while the roof is down.

I bought this same plate last year and a telescoping flagpole.  Simply put it under the stabilizing jack.  It sticks out far enough that it does not touch the camper and goes up right next to the awning.  Works great.  Check out the picture to the left.

Yikes, I just asked the same thing on the wrong thread, (well at least a different one.)   I'd like to order one please.
