I would like to help ensure that one of the flags makes it to G@TG'08 and Mid-Con'08. If you would like to request that a flag makes it to your event or you can carry a flag from one location to an event or other location, let us know in this forum, so we can find a way to make it happen.

You would need to try and coordinate that with the various carriers, but I would think that for sure with three flags running we should be able to get one to you. I know you would like flag #1, but once it leaves here it makes its way however it can, so if you can get the coordination and cooperation to get it there, go for it.

We are headed to Mid-Con '8 this year.  I would be happy  to take one to Mid-Con '8 and pass it to someone there when we leave, for it to keep going. *-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*'94 Jayco Eagle 1'5 GMC Envoy[popblue] SUV Red USA NebraskaMy Pics

jmcanzo, I don't have an issue with the flag going to a GLPUC event, I support GLPUC when I can, besides many GLPUC members, are also PUX members. Nunyabizns, you may want to start a thread seeking someone who can pass the flag off to you before the mid-con event, and that person may want to find someone that can pass the flag the them, so on and so fourth. My plan is to try and get flags #1 and #3 passed to people that will be with groups this coming holiday weekend, where they go from there will be up to coordinated efforts of various people along the way. Once I've sent the flags off, those people should post that they have it and where they have it as well as any places they may wish to camp in the near future so we have a good chance to pass it off quickly.

In reading Ron's post in another flag thread, it struck me as a great idea that whoever has a flag in their possession for an event or trip should take a picture of the flag with the group of campers or at a sign identifying the CG.  They can then post that picture along with their entry in the individual thread for that flag.  What a great visual record of each flag's progress that the whole community might share.

"I am tired of fighting. Our Chiefs are killed; Looking Glass is dead, Ta Hool Hool Shute is dead. The old men are all dead. It is the young men who say yes or no. He who led on the young men is dead. It is cold, and we have no blankets; the little children are freezing to death. My people, some of them, have run away to the hills, and have no blankets, no food. No one knows where they are - perhaps freezing to death. I want to have time to look for my children, and see how many of them I can find. Maybe I shall find them among the dead. Hear me, my Chiefs! I am tired; my heart is sick and sad. From where the sun now stands I will fight no more forever."

Dean, if it's workable, I could take a flag to our Minne-Rally in June and then on to Mid-Con in July.

We will be near Terre Haute, MI Memorial Day weekend, near Wisconsin Dells June 12-17, Taquanamoon Falls June 17-21, and Mid-Con in July.  Let us know if we can help.' Coleman Fairview w/slide-out PopUp Green Van Grey '4 GMC Savana

MGwerks and Ron, both great ideas. Spirit Deer, how much time between the minne-rally and mid-con? If it's within two weeks and you can get somone to hand off to you at the minne-ralley that would be great.

Here is another thought, since some people are moving the flag over great distances and it's possible to fly it in more then one location on the way, make sure you mention all the places when you sign the flag. For you Ron, that would mean indicating the place (was it last weekend) and the one over Memorial Weekend.

So does that mean that you're sending it to me to start again from here?  I could pass it on to one of the Canucks who are planning on going to Mid-Con if that would help too.  You know where I live...

Rodd, what I will be doing (as soon as the new journals arrive) is sending it to someone for memorial day weekend, from there it will take coordination and cooperation to route it to you. I'm hoping that between Memorial day and G@TG it will make several stops along the way. I figured setting up this new forum would help to keep track of the different flags and allow for better coordination in getting the flags from one place to another and hopefully ensure that as many people as possible can particiapte in the flag program. The people you will need to coordinate with are the people that currently have the flags and the people that would like to have the flag. We just need to find the most effictive way to get it from one person to the next. It's great if it works out this can be handed off, but if all else fails, there is the U.S. Mail.

Alrighty then...I'm not trying to piss everyone off again with the flag nonsense, and I'm also trying to play nice in the sandbox with others, but we saw how well that system of passing the flag worked before.  Good Luck with that.We are working on an official MFCC flag for our multiple rallies up this way and it sure would be nice to advertise PUX as well.  Is it possible to get another PUX flag for just our group or would that be asking too much?  We do about 1 rallies a year and that's a lot of exposure to a lot of people.
