Unless you decide you want to join us, then it will be 2 of us by ourselves Jim [:D]We've been out every month this year and prefer the winter camping. No bugs, no reservation fees, and very few people to make noise.

Adding to this topic.. The Mid-Con rally was fun. I never new I would enjoy camping so much more with large groups. It was the best camping experience we have had to date. My entire clan that went to this event actually want to go camping again with the rally. It all worked as planned.(evil grin on my face) My teens are finally seeing how much fun camping can be. They were so zoned into the televison and video games that my daughter once told me she missed her television, not her cat, or her friends. That's when I new we needed to go camping more. Somehow they managed to talk me into adding the old small TV. But you know what? It is hardly ever turned on. I admit it is good for rainy days and some campgrounds actually offer cable. "You never know when you need to see the weather." As my husband would say when he was trying to talk me into placing the TV in the camper. Okay so I gave into it.. no biggie.Anyone getting out Labor Day weekend? If so, share with us where your going. If, you don't mind. This holiday weekend is just a few weeks away, and I have nothing planned... yet. Not sure if Hubby wants to try to get out or not. He has a lot of work to get lined out. We'll see. One week and three days till the Oklahoma Pop-Up rally! The 2nd Oklahoma rally to date that we know of. =)We missed out on the long Labor Day weekend. The whole weekend I repeated "We could be camping at ______ State Park." Fill in blank with assorted state parks around Oklahoma...lol! I am thinking about my next long weekend in October for some Fall camping. How about anyone else?

Since last weekend's rain put a damper on our plans we're heading out this weekend. Nothing major, just going back to Council Grove Lake (KS) for a couple nights. We had hoped to get down to Winfield, KS for the Bluegrass festival, but with all the flooding around there the campgrounds got rearranged and there's nothing but ultra-primative sites left. I have the ability to dry-camp, but I think the first try should be at home or at least within 20 minutes not 2+hrs away. Council Grove Lake is very nice, so I'm really excited! Temps look to be fantastic as well...Hope everyone has a great weekend and can escape to the woods for a bit!
