Been lurking on this site for a while now. Had to sign up to reply to this thread. I must say some of the posts here could make it into a camping version of a Nancy Friday book! Wink

Now more than ever I am looking forward to a long summer of camping!

Love the stories on this thread, had few tears running down our cheeks!  I just hope our PUP continues to rock discreetly enough that we never have a story to post!  Big Smile

We're still waiting for Spring to arrive so we can take out our new pop up for the first time, but this excellent thread has given me some great ideas! DH and I have 2 kids 5&7, and have managed to make tenting work for 2 years. Adult bevvies go a long way to spice up our tenting action. For those that complain that car seats in the back seat narrow your options, what about the front passenger seat? Fold back the seat, put your feet on the dash and go to town. Make sure the parking brake is on, of course.
Thanks for all the tips. We really can't wait to go camping now!

Wow! Sounds like your husband is one very lucky man to have such an adventurous wife. I read this thread and suggest to the GF last weekend while camping, we should try out the front seat as the car would be block the sound more than the pup.
I got a resounding "dream on!" She was a little concerned about being too visible to passers by.
Great suggestion, do you have any others?

Showers?
Maybe just off a path in the bush?

We have been requiring a table cloth long before I read this thread, than again, we were one of those that tested the table strength a few times.

Before some friends of mine bought a camper, they were in the back of their Astro Van.  With curtains and stuff.  They were .. uuh .. testing the suspension / parking brakes and one of the back doors (to the Van) all of a sudden came unlatched and swung open.

I got tired of my camper wobbling around when people walked through it, so I bought 2 BAL levelers, and put 4 new stabilizing jacks on the corners .. stabled it right up.  You might know if you were on the other side of the camper, but probably not from outside... In the night.

Go really really slow!  Or.....How do I put this.....just satisfy each other by a little oral fun.  No rocking invloved with that way.

Never heard of Nancy Friday until this thread. Brought it up at the campfire discussion this last weekend. I would have to say this thread isn't anywhere near as explicit as the Friday books.  It was quite the discussion, especially after a few pops.

We've only had our NTU pup out for one trip so far, and no stability tests yet.  We did have our fun often enough when we were tent camping back when the DKs were younger.  That's why you put the zippers of yours and DWs facing each other.   Grin

We never woke any of the DKs with our late night antics, but we did run across some frisky campers one night.  It must have been 3 or 4 years ago when DD#2 was only 4.  We were walking around exploring close to dusk when we walked past a tent site whose owners apparently decided to have an nightcap.  Boy did she have some pipes on her!  Shocked Of course DS and DD#1 burst out laughing and we hustled the kids back to our own campsite.

Camping out in the wild will bring out the wild. I really don't care if the pup is rocking late at nite.(Minus the kids, of course!) We're all adults here so there should be no shame.  If you don't want to rockit, grab a blanket and hit the woods. Nothing like love under the stars! Kiss
