Hey... I am new here, been lurking around for the last week or so, and I have seen a lot of people us DH, DW, DD, DS... I am assuming that the H=Husband, W=Wife, D=Daughter, and S=Son.

But what is the first D for?   Damn?  Darling?  Dangerous?  Disturbed?  Deranged?

I think we all assume when we read the posts, that it is “dear”, but the poster can certainly intend some of the ones you have mentioned.   Big Smile Big Smile

I haven't posted in a while - I was one of the originals here - don't know how many "oldies" recognize me.

We still have the same Pop-up and I'm currently selling the old Van (92 Aerostar), but we now have a 2005 Ford Freestar that is a dream to drive on the hills in comparison.

There's me, my wife and our 8 year old daughter enjoying our camping adventures.    So Hello again!

Well it's official, we're taking our 95 Jayco on our first 'popup' trip this weekend. Just the DH and myself, so it'll give us a chance to figure out our real camping needs. I can't wait. We're heading south to a campground in SC with full hookups and bathrooms! After some research on the internet, I called ahead for reservations. And with so many recomendations, I did take your advice and buy the BAL leveler although I haven't biten the bullet yet and bought the gizmos and I have a feeling I may regret that decision before the trip is over. Anyhow, the CG is fairly close to a WM so we plan on learning alot and taking good notes - Thanks to everyone for all the great tips and ideas.

OK this is my official introductory post. We've upgraded from tent camping to '04 Fleetwood Redwood and I love it. Other than the test night we had the day we bought it, we've only been camping with it twice. I am gonna try to link to a pic of our first offical trip with it at Oscar Scherer SP in Osprey, FL.

I'm having trouble and still trying to figure out this forum though. As I type right now, it's taking several seconds for the text to appear in the text box.  Huh? Huh? Huh? Last night I went to make a post and it kicked me off when I clicked "post" and said I needed to be logged in to post, when I already was logged in.  Angry i lost the entire posting as I was unable to back browse to retrieve it.

Anyway, lots of great info here for a pop-up newbie like me. Funny post, Iowa Camper. I was wondering the same thing! Thanks for the laugh...

Hi all. first post here. From NC Just got back from our trip to the Mountains of NC and had a wonderful time. Looking forward to our next trip already. We got a NTU 83 Coleman Royale. Already did some mods to our camper and planning on the next series of mods before it gets to cold to work on it since we don't have a shelter to put it in.

Brand new owner of a Starcraft 13rt.  Took my first trip this last weekend, 4 days, and we are totally hooked!  Got rain one of the days and it was so nice to be able to sit in the popup warm and dry.  Can't wait to get out more and maybe meet some other popup owners in Arizona.

Hey all-
Been lurking here for a few months and found a great deal of information. Just bought a 2012 Rockwood 2280 and just getting into the winterizing routine. Kind of hurts a little to park it in storage for the winter! Anyways-looking forward to soaking up more info and preparing for that far off spring.....

@Aelliott6

Welcome fellow lurker!  After a few months of visiting this site I've decided to join as well.

Just wanted to introduce myself to everyone.  We bought our first pup (a 2000 Jayco Eagle 12UDST) in 2007.  After cutting our teeth on it (with a LOT of lessons learned) we grudgingly sold it at the beginning of this year (in preparation for my deployment to Afghanistan) with the promise of getting another one when I got back.  Over the summer I've been reading a LOT of threads on PUX as a stealth user, and was anticipating getting a new(er) pup.  Well, after I made it back in one piece, we recently purchased a 2007 Avalon for a good price and am anxious to share my experiences with all of you.  See you out there!     PopUp Bronze SUV White

This is my first post. I've been shamefully lurking for a couple of months. We bought our first camper BEFORE finding this site. Once I found it I learned all about the joy of ABS roofing. I immediately patched the current hairline cracks and we went camping. The family loves the pup. I'm now doing some more minor patching and covering the roof in Grizzly Grip (I will post pictures). I look forward to more camping this season. Thanks for the wealth of information everyone.
